Goldman-Backed Pano Gets $20 Million to Take On PCs Pano Logic adds venerable venture capital investor Mayfield Fund to its backers as it pursues a meaningful piece of the desktop PC market. Use of virtual desktops are expected to triple or quadruple in 2010, said Gartner analyst Brian Gammage, as more and more businesses discover the dramatic savings in support, maintenance and energy costs from switching to PCs to VDI.
