Pano System Requirements

Are You Pano Ready?

Network / Server Capabilities – To provide an optimal user experience, Pano Devices requires a direct LAN connection of 100 Mbps or more between the Pano Devices and the supporting hypervisor servers to avoid problems from network latency and bandwidth limitations.  High bandwidth connections to the storage servers or devices used for desktop virtual machine images is also recommended.

USB Devices – Pano Devices supports a wide range of common USB peripheral devices – if you have any special requirements, please be sure your peripherals are on the list of Pano System 2.8 Supported USB Devices

High-end Graphics – While Pano provides excellent video and audio synchronization via our Pano Direct Technology, we don't suggest the use of Pano devices for users running full screen multimedia editing suites or graphically-intensive applications such as CAD/CAM.

Microsoft VECD License - use of Microsoft's Windows XP Professional in a virtual machine requires the correct Windows Virtual Enterprise Centralized Desktop (VECD), a device-based subscription license.  Please contact your Microsoft representative or visit the Microsoft VECD licensing web page for pricing, license terms and additional information.

VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3 (VI3) or vSphere 4 – The Pano System runs on top of an underlying virtualization infrastructure provided by VMware. If you don't already have it, you'll need to install VMware ESX or ESXI hypervisors on a server first. VMware vCenter Server is optional but provides some enhanced capabilities for Pano Manager.  Trial versions of many VMware products are available at www.vmware.com.
